New Business
The Board of Directors met on January 4th during
which our 2010 budget was presented and reviewed. This budget will be presented to membership at the January
meeting and voted on in February, as required by our by-laws. Also at the Board meeting, the following new
initiatives were discussed and approved.
Ø Historian
Tracy Hanavin
has agreed to be responsible for keeping an account of OWRC’s
official activities. This will include
officers and committees, events, awards, and photographs. Tracy is talented, creative and organized,
making her a natural to showcase OWRC.

Achievement Awards
Tracy Hanavin has
also assumed responsibility for coordinating the volunteer hours and submitting
them to the Maryland Federation of Republican Women.
Ø Caring for America Committee
This is a new committee chaired by Susan Eisenhour with Joanne
Schroeder. The
function of the committee is to institute a community service project for OWRC
that shows Republican women are caring, responsible members of our community,
willing to provide help and assistance where needed. If you are interested in being part of this committee, please
contact Susan.

Fundraising Committee
Joining new Chair, Ellen
Roberts, are Susan
Eisenhour and Ginny
Chandler. Their
first fundraising event is the Chico’s Wardrobe Party on Sunday January 24th.

Legislative Committee
This very successful
committee is very excited about the upcoming elections this year. Cathy Culver
is the new Chair, and Joanne
Schroeder will continue to report on senior citizens
issues, which she both enjoys and does so skillfully.
